A Thought on Public Service Announcements
There is an inordinate amount of public service announcements along the freeway in Brazil. The government wants to remind everyone to put on their seat belts, not to speed, to drive with insurance, and not to pass on the right.
It must be difficult to decide what to spend other people's money on, but it seems that they may be scraping the bottom of the barrel with public service announcements. At what point might they stop and think: If we give this money back to the people who we got it from, could they possibly spend it on a good or service that would help create jobs and benefit the economy?
