We are not victims

I was so sad to have heard about the tragic theater shooting in Aurora, CO, last night. The story in and of itself is horrifying, but when I learned that the gun laws in Aurora differ from elsewhere in the state (where my father lives), I was crushed. No one in the theater was allowed to have a gun, so the law-abiding movie goers did not even have a chance to defend themselves against the violent psychopath who continued to shoot indiscriminately, shooting a total of 71 people.
